Elk Root Conservation Farm and UBC researcher Jessica Chiartas discussed soil health management and monitoring. Jessica has demonstration research plots throughout the Kootenays, including one in development at Elk Root Conservation Farm exploring the impacts of soil health management practices on soil health, nitrogen availability, and yield.
Kate Mizenka shared their farms experience with vegetable production and nutrient management strategy for optimal soil and crop quality.
