On-Farm Trials, Soil Health and Cover Crops
Fall Field Tour
Rock Creek, October 10
Participants toured silage and grazing corn fields at the Fossen Ranch along with clover cover crops that were inter-panted with corn for soil protection and fall grazing. At the Haynes’ Ranch we reviewed the results of the tillage radish trial from this summer to improve soil health and water infiltration. We will also saw the establishment of dryland cover crops planted this fall of triticale and peas.
