The BC Farmers’ Market Conference has moved online for 2021. There are many events and workshops throughout the month of February. Some highlights include regional roundtables, promoting Farmers’ Markets in a pandemic and marketing CSA.
 
 
 
FarmFolk CityFolk: Virtual Seedy Saturday Conference

FarmFolk CityFolk presents the first ever online Seedy Saturday Conference! This virtual event will facilitate networking within the BC seed community, learn about seed saving and organize seed swaps.

The BC Certified Organic Conference is back in 2021 for two days of online events, workshops, guest speakers and webinars.
 
The organization will be releasing a podcast for attendees to listen to before the conference to allow listeners to learn at their own pace. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask podcast guests questions on the weekend of the conference!

Central Kootenay Food Policy Council: Pandemic & Food Systems Roundtable
First Thursday of every month, 2:30-4 p.m. MST.
Next meeting is February 4, 2021
 
The Food Policy Council hosts roundtable events for those involved in food processing, nonprofits and agriculture to convene and connect regarding food systems during the pandemic.
 
 

KBFA Events

Last but not least, keep an eye out for upcoming KBFA events. In March, we’ve got upcoming in-person and online events. We’ll be hosting a tree pruning field day on March 2 in Creston and March 3 in Salmo.
On March 2, we’ve got a Producer Panel on Pasture Rejuvenation online, so you can tune in remotely!
