Join Climate & Agriculture Initiative BC shared a webinar led by two local riparian experts: Lee Hesketh of BC Cattlemen’s Association’s Farmland Riparian Interface Stewardship Program and Gregoire Lamoureux of Kootenay Permaculture. In this webinar, participants learned:

  • The function of riparian areas and how to protect them
  • How healthy riparian areas can reduce flood damage and support agricultural production
  • Linked up with local resources, local expertise and potential funding to help protect riparian areas on your farm

Keep an eye out for riparian field days in Kootenay & Boundary in Summer 2022.

Funding for this project has been provided by the Governments of Canada and British Columbia through the Canadian Agricultural Partnership, a federal-provincial-territorial initiative. The program is delivered by the Investment Agriculture Foundation of BC.
